We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in the heart of Seattle. In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our clients, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing essential support to our accounting department. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll for multiple employees accurately and on time.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain and update the general ledger using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns as required.
- Assist with year-end audit preparations and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.
