Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and monthly reconciliations
- Process accounts payable/receivable and payroll transactions
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Manage sales tax filings and compliance documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and optimize accounting workflows
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits
Qualifications
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with Xero or FreshBooks a plus
- Relevant certification (e.g., CB) preferred
