Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data accuracy.
- Process payroll for select clients with precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are up-to-date.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
