Responsibilities
- Manage Day-to-Day Finances: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all records match financial statements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to record financial data and generate reports.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing for a select group of clients on a bi-weekly basis.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s in Accounting is preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a part-time schedule (20-30 hours/week) with some hybrid or remote flexibility.
