Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Records: Accurately record daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for small business clients and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Expense Management: Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to budgets.
- Compliance: Maintain organized filing systems and ensure all financial documentation is up-to-date and compliant with IRS standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
