Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing with 100% accuracy.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, financial statements, and monthly management reports.
- Vendor & Client Management: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and prepare client billing statements.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and tax form preparation (W-2s, 1099s) as required.
- System Maintenance: Ensure the integrity of financial data in our accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero) through regular backups and updates.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is mandatory.
- Excel Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.
