Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and Xero
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly
- Prepare VAT returns and quarterly financial reports
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense management
- Support month-end closing procedures and audits
- Provide financial insights to clients through regular reporting
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper (2+ years)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Xero accounting software
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and client management
- AAT qualification or equivalent preferred
