Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions within strict deadlines
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Manage payroll processing and HMRC compliance documentation
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns and year-end audits
- Implement digital bookkeeping solutions using Xero/QuickBooks
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' professional bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 3/4 qualification or equivalent accounting certification
- Expert proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage accounting software
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven track record of managing multi-currency transactions
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
