Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable/receivable with meticulous accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Process payroll and maintain employee expense records
- Utilize Xero and QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping operations
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist with VAT returns and HMRC compliance
- Maintain digital filing systems with audit-ready documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounts management (3+ years)
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent qualification
- Advanced proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks software
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Relevant industry experience preferred (SME focus)
