Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
- Process payroll for a small team of 5-10 employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documents and local regulatory compliance reports.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online) to track expenses and manage budgets.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business or part-time capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and basic tax preparation procedures.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
