Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, using QuickBooks Online.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, preparing necessary journal entries.
- Prepare and send invoices, ensuring timely collection of payments.
- Generate financial reports and budgets to support executive decision-making.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business or CPA firm setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote or hybrid environment.
