Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process monthly payroll for a small team of employees with high attention to detail.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and file quarterly sales and use tax returns in compliance with Pennsylvania state regulations.
- Support the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Assist with general office accounting duties and budget tracking as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax filing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
