Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax filings and annual audit schedules.
- Monitor and maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and budget variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
