Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll records and tax filings for our small business clients.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports.
- Assist with year-end audits and provide documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business or public accounting setting.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines.
