Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, general ledgers, and monthly/quarterly reports.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly payroll processing for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns (1099s, W-2s) as required.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting support for key clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding their financial inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Clean background check required.
