Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including sales and purchase ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and P&L statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of VAT returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
- Assist with the annual audit process and year-end financial reporting.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees and handle expense claims.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Provide ad-hoc financial support and advice to the finance director.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified (Part-qualified candidates with significant experience are encouraged to apply).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage).
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Valid UK right to work and a clean driving license (not essential but preferred).
