Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including trial balances and adjusting entries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax filings.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic financial documentation.
- Collaborate with the management team to analyze financial data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for occasional office meetings).
