Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 10-15 small business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with NC state tax regulations
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions with precision
- Assist with quarterly tax filings and year-end audits
- Implement cost-saving strategies through expense analysis and budgeting
- Maintain organized digital financial records with secure cloud protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with small businesses
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and NC tax requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines with zero errors
- Exceptional communication skills for client interactions
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero a plus)
- Valid NC CPA license or actively pursuing certification
