Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bookkeeping operations, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Process payroll for a small team, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local business reports.
- Manage bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger with precision.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow and assist in budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment.
