Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 10-15 small business clients
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with actionable insights
- Handle accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and California tax regulations
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions
- Support tax preparation season with documentation organization
- Implement QuickBooks optimization for client efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines with multiple clients
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with tax preparation software (TurboTax or Lacerte)
