Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process payroll for selected clients or departments as assigned.
- Assist with the annual tax preparation process and support external auditors.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial data is up-to-date and compliant.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
