Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable processes with high accuracy and timely execution.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and perform variance analysis.
- Support the payroll process for a small team of employees, ensuring all records are current.
- Maintain and organize financial records, general ledger entries, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax documentation and compliance schedules.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in general accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
