Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 8-12 SME clients using Xero/QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns
- Lead quarterly compliance reviews and year-end filings
- Develop cash flow forecasts and financial analysis reports
- Mentor junior accountants on accounting best practices
- Optimize financial processes using automation tools
- Build client relationships through proactive financial advisory
Qualifications
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting certification
- Minimum 3 years UK accounting experience in SME sector
- Expertise in Xero/QuickBooks and Excel (PivotTables/VLOOKUP)
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven experience managing portfolio of diverse clients
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
