Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliations
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns and year-end statutory filings
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis for client portfolios
- Leverage Xero and QuickBooks for digital bookkeeping and reporting
- Collaborate with senior accountants on tax planning strategies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in UK accounting practices (2+ years)
- Relevant professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Expert proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
