Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) to maintain accurate financial records.
- Provide ad-hoc financial support and reporting to the finance management team.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a part-time capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting management software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with tax preparation and basic tax compliance is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
