Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations using QuickBooks and Xero with high accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger entries on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Collaborate with the senior accounting team to implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and cloud-based accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
