Responsibilities
- Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a nightly basis to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and generate monthly financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, specifically focusing on night shift deliverables.
- Review and approve invoices for payment within established guidelines and approval workflows.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents and invoices.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in a 3rd shift environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with a focus on error-free data entry.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Associate degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
