Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily closing process, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
- Perform high-volume bank reconciliations and credit card audits with 100% accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows to ensure timely vendor and client payments.
- Supervise and mentor the evening accounting support staff during shift operations.
- Review and approve payroll entries for the night shift workforce.
- Identify discrepancies in financial data and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience, preferably in a night shift or high-volume environment.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero.
- Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Must be available to work the night shift (e.g., 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
