What You Will Do
As a Night Shift Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records. You will work independently in a secure environment to process transactions and support our day team.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processing with a focus on accuracy.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance during off-hours.
- Process payroll for a diverse client base using industry-standard software.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and adjust entries for the upcoming day operations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure compliance.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports submitted by remote teams.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM or 11 PM - 7 AM).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
