Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and post nightly journal entries and adjust entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close procedures with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate and review financial statements, reports, and variance analyses for leadership review.
- Conduct routine audits of financial data and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Communicate effectively with the day-shift team to resolve discrepancies and transfer critical information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- CPA certification or 2+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- Proven experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in complex data sets.
- Ability to work independently and effectively during night shifts without direct supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
