Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify discrepancies, and ensure timely payment to vendors and collection from clients.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and posting of payroll entries for night shift staff.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records in our accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero).
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- License: CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM) on a regular basis.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to detect errors and maintain high data integrity standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
