Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day processing of sales and purchase invoices.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
- Assist with basic VAT returns and payroll administration.
- Prepare and file monthly management accounts for review by senior management.
- Organize and file physical and digital business documents.
Qualifications
- No prior bookkeeping experience is required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basic formulas are a plus).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
