We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in Portland, Oregon. Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and invoice processing with high accuracy.
- Assist in bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Prepare and organize financial spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain organized digital and physical files for all financial documents.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and status updates.
- Assist in the preparation of basic monthly financial reports.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (coursework or self-study is acceptable).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn new accounting software.
