Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage and update the general ledger with precision.
- Support the payroll process by collecting and verifying time sheets and employee data.
- Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations and internal financial controls.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; A-levels, BTEC, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a finance or administrative role is a plus, but not required for the right candidate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel highly desirable.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
