Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Support the monthly bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Prepare and file statutory returns and company tax computations.
- Handle general ledger activities and assist in ad-hoc financial projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:2 Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies, or a related field.
- Strong GCSEs/GCEs in Mathematics and English.
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Full right to work in the UK is essential.
