In this role, you will work closely with our senior accounting team to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP standards. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate setting.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify daily sales and purchase invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with monthly cash flow management.
- Assist the finance team with the preparation of monthly VAT returns and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes under supervision.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- A-Level or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics or Accounting (or a degree in Finance/Business).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new financial software and processes.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
