About the Role:
As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will support the senior finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards. You will gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping, reconciliation, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Bookkeeping: Process invoices, expenses, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
- Support Financial Reporting: Prepare basic trial balances and assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Data Management: Maintain and update the company’s financial database and filing systems.
- Compliance Support: Ensure all financial processes adhere to HMRC regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: A-levels or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- GCSEs: Minimum of Grade C/4 in Maths and English.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and maintain high accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Availability: Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
