Your Role: You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in our records, and providing excellent service to our clients. This is the perfect role for someone eager to learn and grow in the accounting field.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations and expense categorization.
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconcile accounts and assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Support the audit process by gathering necessary documentation and data.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and account balances in a professional manner.
- Utilize accounting software (Xero/Sage) to maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of AAT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent working knowledge).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
