As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting the senior finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong academic background in accounting or finance to gain hands-on industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Bookkeeping: Perform accurate data entry and maintain general ledger records.
- Bank Reconciliation: Review bank statements and reconcile discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and manage customer accounts.
- Compliance & Filing: Assist with document retention, filing, and basic regulatory compliance tasks.
- Excel Proficiency: Utilize spreadsheets to analyze data and create tracking systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
- Academic Record: Recent graduate with a strong GPA or relevant coursework in financial accounting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and ensure high-quality work.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
