Apex Financial Partners is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team in the heart of downtown Portland.

Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of tax documentation.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to the general ledger.
- Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and databases using Excel and accounting software.
- Support the senior accounting team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates welcomed).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and basic accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
