Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statement preparation
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support VAT returns and HMRC compliance documentation
- Utilize Xero and QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks
- Prepare management accounts for SME clients
- Collaborate with senior accountants on audit preparation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
- AAT Foundation/Level 2 qualification or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Basic knowledge of UK GAAP and tax regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
