Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (VA, FLSA)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and payroll adjustments with precision
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare quarterly/annual tax filings
- Support HR initiatives including timekeeping system audits and new onboarding
- Generate payroll reports for leadership and external auditors
- Collaborate with finance team on month-end closing processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- Expert knowledge of ADP or similar HCM platforms
- Proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP and pivot table skills
- CPP or FPC certification strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of VA labor laws and tax requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll operations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
