Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, managing invoices and payments with a focus on vendor relationships.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow summaries.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash management tasks to safeguard company assets.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax filings (1099s, W2s) to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to streamline financial workflows and generate necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic tax laws.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
