Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure all invoices and payments are handled in a timely manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including trial balances and income statements, for management review.
- Data Entry: Maintain and update the company’s general ledger system using industry-standard accounting software.
- Invoice Processing: Review and verify invoices for accuracy, coding, and approval before payment processing.
- Record Keeping: Organize and file financial records, tax documents, and receipts to ensure compliance with company policies and auditing standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or administrative role is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong aptitude for numbers.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and the ability to spot errors in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members and clients.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
