As an Entry Level Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the senior accounting team with month-end close activities. Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Process payroll using our HR software and ensure all timesheets are verified.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for invoices and receipts.
- Support the finance department with data entry, expense reporting, and auditing preparation.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- No prior professional experience required, but a strong academic record in finance or related fields is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables are a plus).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
