Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system with precision.
- Support the payroll process by organizing timecards and payroll documentation.
- Assist with year-end audit preparations and tax documentation.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- No prior professional experience required, but a strong academic background in math or business is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
