Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including issuing invoices and processing payments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including trial balances and profit & loss statements.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Assist with basic payroll processing and expense reporting.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve billing inquiries and provide account summaries.
- Perform general clerical duties to support the finance department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies.
- Basic math skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Reliable computer access and a dedicated workspace.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to obtain bookkeeping certification or complete relevant coursework during employment.
