Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, ledgers, and basic financial statements.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for both digital and physical documents.
- Perform data entry into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) under supervision.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure all timesheets are correctly recorded.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Strong computer literacy and typing skills (40+ WPM).
- Basic understanding of math and financial concepts is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to learn new software and accounting procedures quickly.
