Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping duties including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions with internal ledgers.
- Enter and categorize financial transactions into the general ledger accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments to maintain good standing.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records and filing systems.
- Assist the senior accounting team with month-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in data.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, formatting).
- Familiarity with accounting software concepts (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
