What You'll Do:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring that our clients' books are accurate and up-to-date.
Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Manage bank statements and credit card reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process, including preparing trial balances and financial reports.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents and invoices.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist in the preparation of basic tax documents and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their account status and billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- No prior professional experience required, but a strong academic background in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
